Italian Lacquer Furniture

Shop Italian lacquer furniture at Mobilia Cleopatra: high-gloss bedroom sets, beds, dressers, nightstands, dining sets, buffets and curios with the mirror-like finish Italian design is known for. Our Italian lacquer collections come through ESF Furniture, including designs by Italian makers such as Camelgroup and Arredoclassic, in white, ivory, silver and gold finishes.

What is Italian lacquer furniture?

Lacquer furniture is finished with many layers of lacquer that are sanded and polished to a deep, glossy surface. On our pieces the lacquer is applied over wood veneer and MDF, which gives a smooth, even base for the high-gloss finish; check each product page for its exact materials. The result reflects light, makes a bedroom or dining room feel brighter, and pairs well with chrome, mirrored and marble-look details.

Italian lacquer bedroom sets and beds

High-gloss lacquer bedroom sets are the heart of this collection, from clean white contemporary designs to ivory and gold sets with classical curves. Most collections offer a bed with matching nightstands, dressers, mirrors and chests, and a few beds include built-in lighting. If you love the glossy Italian bedrooms of the 1980s, these are new pieces with that same polished look. Browse more in our bedroom sets and beds.

High-gloss dining tables and dining sets

A high-gloss lacquer dining table brings the same reflective finish to the dining room, often paired with upholstered chairs and a matching buffet or curio for display. Compare sizes and shapes in our dining sets and dining tables, and add storage from buffets and curios.

Caring for high-gloss lacquer

Dust lacquer with a soft, dry microfiber cloth and wipe spills right away. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and harsh solvents, which can dull or scratch the gloss, and use coasters and placemats under glasses and hot dishes. Keep pieces out of strong direct sun where possible to protect the color. For more general care tips, see our guide on caring for a dining room set.
