Where a bench works

The classic spot is the foot of the bed, where a bench gives you a place to sit and lay out clothes. As a rule of thumb, choose a bench a little narrower than the bed frame and keep about 30 inches of walkway around it. A bench also works in an entryway or a dressing area.
