Mavis Dark Brown Futon Sofa

The Mavis futon sofa, model CM2691-SET-VN, is a dark brown fabric futon with a solid wood frame that folds down into a bed. From Furniture of America, it suits a guest room, a den or a small living room.

Design and materials

• Upholstery: dark brown fabric
• Frame: solid wood with reinforcement
• Style: transitional
• Sofa size: 75″L x 37″W x 36″H, seat height 19″, seat depth 21.5″
• Folded-down size: 75″L x 44″W x 24.5″H

Dark brown works with warm wood tones, cream walls and lighter accent pillows. Because it works as both a seat and a bed, one piece does two jobs in a room where space is limited.

Sizing and placement

Remember that the piece gets deeper when it folds down, from 37 inches to 44 inches. Leave about 30 inches of walkway beyond the folded-down depth. Measure the doorways and hallways on the way in, and compare the size listed above with the wall you have in mind.
