Alston 6-Piece Brown Dining Set By Coaster Furniture

Rustic Dining for Everyday Gatherings

The Alston Brown Dining Set brings a coordinated, rustic look to the dining room. This six-piece arrangement centers on a rectangular dining table and is complemented by a matching bench and ladder-back chairs. Solid rubberwood construction gives the collection a substantial wood foundation, while the Brown color presentation highlights the grain and handcrafted character described for the design. It is a practical choice for shared meals, casual conversations, and everyday dining in a home that favors a relaxed, rustic setting.

Each piece is designed to work together visually, from the table’s bold base to the seating’s straightforward profiles. Hand-planed details and visible wood grain lend the Brown Dining Set an organic, crafted appearance without relying on ornate decoration. The result is a cohesive dining collection with a grounded silhouette and a welcoming feel.

Rectangular Table Design

Trestle-Style X-Base

The rectangular table features a trestle-style X-base that creates the defining architectural element of the collection. Its angled supports and connecting stretcher give the base a strong, open profile beneath the top. The table measures 70.75 inches wide, 35.50 inches deep, and 30 inches high, providing a generously proportioned surface for dining and serving.

Hand-Planed Live-Edge Top

A hand-planed live-edge top reinforces the table’s rustic character. Rather than presenting a highly formal surface, the top emphasizes the natural look of the wood grain and the handcrafted quality of its detailing. The table’s Brown finish carries across its top and base for a unified appearance. Together, the live-edge treatment and X-base make the table the focal point of the Brown Dining Set.

Coordinated Bench and Chairs

The matching bench complements the table with the same rustic design direction and sturdy build. It offers an alternative seating option alongside the chairs while maintaining the collection’s consistent wood detailing. The ladder-back chairs add vertical definition around the table. Their clean, familiar silhouette balances the more substantial trestle base and keeps the overall arrangement approachable.

Each chair includes a padded Brown fabric seat for everyday dining comfort. The upholstery is a polyester-and-cotton blend, specified as 95% polyester and 5% cotton. This fabric seating creates a textural contrast with the wood construction while preserving the coordinated Brown presentation. Foam is also listed among the set materials, supporting the padded-seat construction.

Materials and Rustic Character

The Alston collection is built with solid rubberwood frames and also specifies laminated veneer lumber and plywood among its construction materials. These wood-based components support the table, bench, and chair designs, while the fabric upholstery is reserved for the chair seats. The combination of wood, fabric, and foam gives the Brown Dining Set a clear material contrast: structured wood surfaces paired with cushioned seating.

Rustic details appear throughout the collection, including authentic wood grain, hand-planed edges, the live-edge tabletop profile, and the trestle-style base. These elements are carried through the coordinated pieces rather than being isolated to the table alone. The collection’s simple forms allow those details to remain central to its look.

Thoughtful Dining-Room Arrangement

This Brown Dining Set is sold as a six-piece dining collection, bringing its table and seating elements together in one matched arrangement. The bench and ladder-back chairs make it possible to vary the seating mix while retaining a consistent design language. The rectangular table shape provides a defined central gathering surface, and the trestle base leaves the visual focus on the tabletop and seating around it.

Full assembly is required. Once assembled, the coordinated pieces create a complete rustic dining-room setting with a solid rubberwood foundation, padded fabric chair seats, and distinctive hand-planed details.
